How to Join the Program
There are four ways to join the Books in Homes Program:
- Self-fund – Your childcare centre, preschool or primary school allocates part of its annual budget to self-fund the Books in Homes Program.
- Corporate sponsorship – Corporate sponsorship occurs in two ways. Either, Sponsors approach Books in Homes and we match-make them with centres or schools that fit their criteria, OR, you can source your own Sponsor. Just email your expression of interest to be added to the Program to firstname.lastname@example.org and request a copy of the Books in Homes Schools Seeking Sponsorship Kit to help you achieve your goals.
- Grants – Books in Homes regularly applies for government, as well as community-giving business grants, to fund early childhood centres, preschools and primary schools in disadvantaged communities. To be a potential recipient of a grant just email your expression of interest to email@example.com
- Fundraise – Start a fundraising campaign through your P&C Committee or your local community by finding corporate or individual donors. Just email your expression of interest to be added to the Program to firstname.lastname@example.org and request a copy of the Books in Homes Schools Fundraising Kit to help you achieve your goals.
For the most part, pro-active early childhood centres, preschools and primary schools with a supportive team spirit tend to have more success in obtaining internal or external funding to join the Books in Homes Program.
