Sharing Best Practice (SBP) is a grassroots movement comprised of educators and allied health professionals who, through SBP conferences and events across Australia, share best practice pedagogies and current, scientifically-backed practices. On April 29 2023, Corrimal High School hosted the first Sharing Best Practice Illawarra. Over 200 educators attended this event to see a range of wonderful keynote speakers and breakout presentations. All of the presenters donated their time and expertise free of charge to ensure this event was affordable and accessible to all. A key part of this event was raising money to support the Books in Homes program to support schools in the local Illawarra area. We were able to donate a portion of ticket sales. In addition, stallholders on the day all donated a prize for a very successful raffle. The SBP Illawarra committee are very proud to support Books in Homes and are grateful for all the hard work they do to support children to access quality texts.

SBP raised $2000 at the event, which will be utilised to support a school in the Illawarra (NSW) region.
