Books in Homes was delighted to be involved again this year with the Words on the Waves Writers Festival (WOW) and to attend the Family Fun Day on 4 June 2023 at the Everglades in Woy Woy on the NSW Central Coast. On this occasion, the theme of the day was ‘When Fish Fly: The Power of Possibility’. There was also a jungle theme set-up in the storytelling area so the entire space looked fantastic. Role Model and Book Selection Committee member Jules Faber presented a storytelling session for the kids, reading aloud from his Max Crack book series and chatting with families. Lots of children also entered into two prize draws for two packs of children’s books. Congratulations to the winners Jocelyn and Harrison (whose photos were posted on our Facebook page on 6 June 2023)! An ENORMOUS thank you to Jules Faber for his wonderful contribution, wisdom and great humour! Also, a HUGE thanks to Cliff Watt from Scholastic who designed our wonderful new pull-up exhibition banner, as well as the  fabulous Fiona Lloyd (who organised the event and is also a Books in Homes Role Model and Children’s Author). We had a fabulous time and appreciate all the opportunities extended to us via WOW!
