Books in Homes recently surpassed the 2.9 million books distributed mark in its 21 years of operation, which was achieved with great excitement. The Books in Homes program aims to overcome the inequality of educational opportunities in communities where access to books for families is limited or non-existent and resources are often scarce. In doing so, the program contributes to helping overcome generational poverty by enhancing the chances of success in early education thereby opening options, choices, and potential in later life. In the interim, the long-awaited 3 million book distributed goal is fast approaching and the Books in Homes team and greater community looks forward to accomplishing that goal.
