During our Book Week celebrations, Tudor House School at Moss Vale, NSW, held The Great Book Swap to raise money for the wonderful charity Books in Homes. Hundreds of used children’s books in good condition were donated by Tudor House families. Indeed, some students brought in one or two books and some brought a whole bag to donate! The variety of books was exceptional—a huge selection of non-fiction, picture books and novels was enough to satisfy all our students, and also many teachers!

Class by class our students came in with gold coins to purchase these wonderful books, which sold for $1 apiece, although some students and staff donated more to support the cause. By the end of the swap, we had sold most of the books and had some extremely happy students toting their new purchases. All said and done we raised more than $400 to support Books in Homes in a day enjoyed by all.
