Rotary District 9810 in Victoria has just initiated a new fundraising campaign called the Rotary DG Family Project Books for Kids Campaign, which aims to identify and fund primary schools in Victoria’s South Eastern and Yarra Ranges suburbs, that will benefit from being on the Books in Homes program.

The District 9810 Rotary Family project in 2019-20 will focus on:

• contributing to helping overcome generational poverty,
• enhancing the chances of success in early education,
• opening up options, choices and potential in later life, and
• making a difference within our local communities.

Rotary District 9810 together with Books in Homes will provide books-of-choice to children living in the local communities of District 9810 in disadvantaged and low socio-economic circumstances, ensuring crucial early literacy engagement and the development of reading skills needed for lifelong achievement.

The books are top quality and brand new, curated for the program by the Books in Homes Book Selection Committee, made up of authors, illustrators, educators, and parents.
